fun facts about me
I know that students are sometimes set homework to find out more about authors so here is a little more about me!
-
I was born on April 23rd, which is St Georges' Day and also William Shakespeare's birthday (and death day!). I like to think that means writing was fated to be my job.
-
I'm absolutely hopeless at spelling, grammar and punctuation.
-
My all time favourite books are Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery and Journey to the River Sea by Eva Ibbotson. Some of my favourite authors are Robin Stevens, Katherine Rundell, Kiran Millwood Hargrave and J. T. Williams.
-
Like Cos, I also have Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD), which means I deal with joint dislocations, chronic pain, brain fog and fatigue. To find out more about my disability by head to the Ehlers-Danlos Support UK website.
-
I love animals, and am definitely a cat person! I have two cats. Scout is a fish-stick loving jewellery magpie who loves chasing bugs in our garden, and Sunny likes silent meowing, post-dinner zoomies and waking me up with a purr-filled cuddle.
-
I've always wanted to be a writer, but I first started writing down stories when I was 17 and I never stopped.
-
Other things I adore: reading on a rainy day, museums, badly embroidering, colourful nails, earl grey tea, collecting pretty notebooks, libraries, bright lipstick and gardening.
-
Like Cos, I firmly believe in the healing power of cake.
